ENABLING GIVING WITH CONFIDENCE

At Prospero World, we passionately believe that donors should be inspired, and supported, to make a difference. We want them to feel confident that their giving will have meaningful, lasting impact.
Since we were founded in 2007, we have been proud to act as a trusted bridge between donors and exceptional, carefully vetted projects.
We promote thoughtful, creative philanthropy by offering expert advice and tailored support to donors, foundations, and charitable organisations.
In addition to our bespoke donor-advised fund (DAF), we provide opportunities for deeper engagement and learning through initiatives such as our Forum for Good, a peer learning network for philanthropists exploring the roles of leadership, authenticity, and inspiration in creating a better world, and Start Right, a training academy designed to equip emerging philanthropists with the insight and practical knowledge needed to navigate the charitable sector with confidence.
Through our curated donor empowerment programme, events, webinars, and research, we continue to strengthen the philanthropic ecosystem and champion meaningful change.

DONOR ADVISED FUNDS
We offer full-service management of donor-advised funds as tax-efficient philanthropic giving vehicles for donors with myriad benefits. Prospero World handles the administrative, fiduciary and reporting of DAF accounts on behalf of the donor and provides advisory services that include grant management, strategic planning and impact measurement.

RESEARCH & DUE DILIGENCE
We conduct due diligence on charities and Social Enterprises and provide robust advice to donors about their tax-efficient giving.
Due diligence involves visiting charities both nationally and internationally, reviewing their constitutional documents and governance arrangements, scrutinising accounts, assessing the financial forecasts of a particular project or a charity’s work overall, assessing whether the purpose of a particular project or wider activities are within the framework of English charity law, and whether the recipient has the necessary expertise and resources to carry out the work which donors wish to support.

MONITORING & EVALUATION
We monitor donations ensuring they have been spent in line with the purpose for which they have been given, and evaluate the impact donations have had. We then report back to donors both verbally and through written reports.
Our monitoring and evaluation work includes site visits, where appropriate. In particular, when donations have been made overseas, Prospero requires charities to adhere to additional reporting requirements to verify the use of funds.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
Prospero World nurtures relationships between donors and charities, introducing field experts to donors to either further develop existing fields of interest, or to identify areas of charitable activity that may be of particular interest. As well as organizing private meetings, Prospero World hosts events to showcase the work of exceptional organisations.
CAPACITY BUILDING & RESEARCH
Prospero World advises and supports charities to communicate with donors more effectively. Since our inception in 2007 we have helped build capacity of charitable organisations as far afield East Timor, Singapore and Myanmar as well as in the UK, helping them to improve communication and share best practice models.

The fees we generate through our consultancy service are donated to Prospero World to support our own research costs.

“(The report) was more extensive than I'd expected. It gave not only excellent and honest feedback, but also concrete next steps for HIAM Heath to consider. I'm really impressed with your work, and appreciative of your expertise... Thanks again.
I will be actively looking for opportunities to promote Prospero & the excellent work that you do...”

“The report for external use is a very helpful tool for Aanchal Women’s Aid to showcase our strengths. The report is very helpful in use of language which can inspire new donors to be able to capture the essence, culture and uniqueness of the organisation.

The internal report was much needed for Aanchal to review strategies for future planning. In particular an insight into historic funding streams. The recommendations have provided guidance and enabled us to plan ahead. The Evaluation Report has inspired change.
