Their aim to raise £50,000 to support the first phase of reconstruction.

DONATE TO THE CULTURAL PROGRAMME

Culture is essential to identity and human dignity. The programmes being developed at  Palestine House celebrate the strength of Palestinian culture, crucial now more than ever.

Their aim is to raise £70,000 to support the first year of programmes.

Palestine House is a registered Community Interest Company, seeking to build understanding and to promote and safeguard awareness of Palestine’s rich culture. It is a non-political and non-religious place of safety, celebration and community where Palestinians and those supporting Palestinians can come together peacefully to help build understanding. Palestine House aims to advance cultural understanding, human rights, dialogue and resilience, through curated events and exhibitions. It supports humanitarian and cultural projects in the UK and Palestine.

Palestine House exists as a safe and creative space, a home-from-home for those who have faced displacement and oppression, and a centre for communities to meet, work, learn and to celebrate. They are on the cusp of completing the conversion of a five-storey building in central London whose floors are designed to mirror places in Palestine – Jerusalem, Hebron and Nablus.

Palestine House's team has backgrounds in culture, business, charity, heritage, literature and law. Together, they are developing an events programme to bring together communities and to raise money to support cultural and humanitarian projects in Palestine.

The need for humanitarian relief in Palestine has become extremely urgent following the well documented escalation of violence against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza where more than 40,000 people have now reportedly been killed, over 100,000 injured and 1.8 million displaced since October 2023.

Through trusted local contacts, Palestine House is able to donate crisis funds for food and water programmes, set up by local communities themselves in Gaza, in the form of temporary kitchens and water for washing and drinking.

They are also supporting Dignity Hospital, a renowned hospital in Al Karama area, north-west Gaza, which was completely destroyed by Israeli occupation forces in February 2024. The medical team still perseveres providing services for the displaced populations and, once peace is restored, aims to rebuild the hospital.
