HOW TO APPLY
 

Our Charity Adoption scheme is tailor-made to enable projects to focus on the causes they care most about, without needing to worry about the administration and governance involved in running a UK registered charity. 

 

We are committed to expanding our Charity Adoption Programme, whilst simultaneously keeping the programme small so that we do not compromise on the quality of the service we provide to our Adopted Charities. The programme doesn’t just enable charitable initiatives to receive donations in a tax efficient manner from UK donors: it affords charitable projects a host of additional benefits and provides UK donors with peace of mind.

Being a Prospero World Adopted Charity is a mark of excellence.

CRITERIA

In order to ensure that we can really add value the charitable projects we adopt, the organisations will need to fulfil certain criteria, including but not limited to the following requirements:

​

  • A charitable project operating in the UK but without charitable status OR 

  • A non-UK based charitable organisation registered in its home country. 

  • Work that fits within one, or more, of our categories.

  • 2 UK Referees.

  • Ability to provide full accounts and reporting for due diligence purposes.

  • An existing UK supporter base of your own, or the potential to cultivate it. We will provide you with advice and the vehicles to fundraise but this is an opportunity for you to cultivate your own contacts.

  • Marketable material.

  • Ability to demonstrate the need for your work and the impact it will have.

  • The ability to generate £65,000 per year from UK sources. 

  • Alignment with Prospero World’s mission.

  1. Complete our simple, downloadable, application form.

  2. Provide accounting records.

  3. Record a short film (30 to 60 seconds), in landscape mode presenting your initiative, and why you feel it should be an adopted charity.

Our Charity Adoption Programme is currently full and we will not be considering new applications for the time being. We have a waiting list of organisations who will be considered as space becomes available on the programme.
